As we approach the 15th birthday / anniversary of my Lean Blog Interviews Podcast, I've experimented with a few formats over the years. There's the core audio podcast, of course. I've also done some video podcasts that were also released in audio format.
I've done a few experiments with live streaming video episodes, starting with Paul Akers in 2015:
I did a live episode last year with Dr. Rachel Mandel:
Jamie Flinchbaugh and I have also done two live episodes of our Lean Whiskey podcast:
Doing the live broadcast is always a bit of a high-wire act. One advantage is the ability to take live questions from an audience, so I think it's fun to mix it up by doing a live stream every once in a while. The stream, of course, gets turned into a recorded episode, in both video and audio formats.
To celebrate the one-year anniversary (first birthday?) of her book Learning to Lead, Leading to Learn, I'm going to host Katie Anderson for a live streaming podcast on Tuesday, July 13th. I'll ask Katie to share some lessons learned from the year that's passed since the book's release. We'll talk about the new audiobook version that she has published, and we'll take a deeper dive into some Lean topics in addition to your questions.
How to be Reminded of the Live Event
There are two ways to be reminded of the broadcast for viewing — LinkedIn Live, YouTube, or Facebook Live.
In YouTube, click the “set reminder” button in the lower left corner of the video (as it appears on YouTube).
On LinkedIn, you can click the “remind me” button that appears there in the post.
You can also watch it through my Facebook page for Lean Blog.
Come prepared with questions to ask Katie about the book, learning from her mentor Isao Yoshino, and more.
Here is a preview / tech test that we did last week:
Speaking of Mr. Yoshino, here is an episode of “My Favorite Mistake” that they did together with me:
See you on the 13th!
