Forgive me for batching some announcements, but I wanted to share three upcoming events (and a recent podcast) with you.

First, the podcast:

A Recent Podcast Recording, with Mark Graban

First off, I want to thank Eric Twiggs and Ted Rells for having me as a guest on their business podcast, The 30 Minute Hour. They ask me about my work, we have a really good conversation, and they've forever documented my really bad Super Bowl prediction.

You can listen here:

Eric is featured in an episode of “My Favorite Mistake” and that should be released on February 25th, so visit the website to subscribe or you can be notified of new episodes via email.

KaiNexus Webinar on Buy-In and Communication, by Scott Burgmeyer

On February 17th, I moderated webinar that's part of the KaiNexus Continuous Improvement Webinar series that's titled:

Understanding your Strengths and Blind Spots for Enhanced Buy-In and Communication

It was presented by Scott Burgmeyer, Executive Director – IQC (Iowa Quality Center)

As he asks:

“Isn't it time to truly identify your personal strengths and blind spots?”

Here is a preview discussion:

And here is that webinar recording:

Just-in-Time Cafe Webinar on Process Behavior Charts, by Mark Graban

I'm really happy that Tracy O'Rourke and Elisabeth Swan have invited me to do a presentation on Process Behavior Charts in healthcare.

How to Use Process Behavior Charts to Guide Better Outcomes in Healthcare

You can watch a short promo video here:

I presented that on February 18.

“Many people think that statistics is the exclusive domain of “Six Sigma,” but “Process Behavior Charts” are a statistical method that can be incorporated into any improvement initiatives or any Lean management system. This webinar will explain how PBCs can be used to evaluate the impact of projects and how they can be used to track performance measures over time, allowing us to react less, to lead better, and to improve more.”

Here is the recording via their website:

“Build Back Leaner,” with Mark Graban and Many Others

I'm also happy to announce that I've been invited to give a TED-style 10-minute talk at the Central Coast Lean Virtual Summit 2021. Thanks to Prof. Eric Olsen for the invite!

My title is “Red & Green is Not Lean” so hopefully that sparks your interest.

The event is just $25. They have a lot of interaction planned so you won't be just a passive viewer — you can actually participate!

The event is going to be held on Monday, April 26, 2021, from 9:45 AM – 2:00 PM PDT.
