You might know Mike from my podcast with him (performing as Dr. W. Edward Deming). Here are three videos with Mike (as himself) done by Quality Digest magazine.

In Part 1, Mike talks about asking why and the continuing relevance of Dr. Deming.

The 2nd video looks at outsourcing/offshoring (link to the Quality Digest page).

The 3rd and final video, where Mike discusses continuous/continual improvement and mentions one of my favorite books, Creating a Lean Culture: Tools to Sustain Lean Conversions

(again linking to QD for the 3rd video).

Mike also mentions an interesting philanthropic exercise — 5S for Charity. If your organization throws out its Sorted (Red Tagged) items, please consider donating them to an organization that could use them and receive a tax donation credit. Also, if you know of a charity, church, or not for profit organization that is in need of another company's old electronic equipment, furniture, cabinets, etc to improve quality of life, please log on to www.5sforcharity.org.
