If you're reading from the top of the page currently, I guess this is like movie previews before the featured presentation.
A few upcoming “events” here at the Lean Blog:
Buying American Interview
The cycle time has been long, but I'm still expecting to publish an email interview with Roger Simmermaker, author of “How Americans Can Buy American“. I hope that will prompt some interesting discussion and debate about our role as American consumers and our responsibilities in choosing companies to buy from.
Lean Blog Podcast
I am about to release the first “Lean Blog Podcast.” What is a podcast? Well, you don't have to have an iPod to hear it. A podcast is an audio program (MP3) that you can listen to on your computer or an iPod (it should be available for download through the Apple iTunes store) or another audio/MP3 player.
The first podcast will feature Norman Bodek in an interview about kaizen and employee suggestions. I have to give credit for the podcast idea to Norman, who approached me about doing an audio interview after our written Q&A. I wish we had done the podcast then, because it would have saved me the waste of typing!
I'll post more details and when and where the podcast will be available for download. I hope to do one monthly, we'll see how it goes. There will additional discussions with Norman and I also hope to interview other leaders in the lean world via podcast, including another friend of the blog, Jamie Flinchbaugh.
Let me know if you have any ideas or feedback on the idea of a podcast.

We all look forward to see your efforts move from the page to audio. Perhaps a lean TV show is next.
Welcome to the podcast world! But one caveat: audio-only podcasts are not searchable. If there’s valuable insight in a podcast, like there will almost surely be with the interview with Mr. Bodek, people doing research may not be able to find it unless the right words are in the written title/description. But who knows what Google has up its sleeves… someday!
Best, Kevin

Good point Kevin. I will be integrating the podcast into the blog and will post some “show notes” that people can use to search and find Mr. Bodek’s insights.
